Missed your 2nd payment? Here's what to do
No worries if you missed your 2nd payment this month, you can still use Flex! Just make sure to pay off your full balance by 11:59 PM ET on the last day of the month.
Important: If your balance isn’t paid by the end of the month, you won’t be able to use Flex for next month’s rent.
What to do in the app
Retry the payment
- Flex will try processing the payment again automatically.
- Or, you can go to the Payments section on your home screen and tap “Make payment” to do it yourself.
Reschedule the payment
- Want to try a different date? You can move your payment to a different eligible date later in the same month. View the Rescheduling your 2nd payment article for step-by-step instructions.
- Flex will then process it on that new date.
Add a backup card (optional)
To help prevent missed payments in the future, you can add a backup card in the Flex app.
If your primary card fails (for example, due to insufficient funds or an expired card), Flex may use your backup card.
Here’s how:
- On your home screen, look under Payment methods.
- Tap “Add backup card.”
- Enter card details and tap “Add Card.”
Your backup card is only used for your payment if your primary card fails.
Are there late fees for missing your 2nd payment?
Flex doesn’t charge any late fees or missed payment fees. We’re here to make managing your rent as simple and stress-free as possible.
