If a membership fee payment doesn’t go through, don’t worry—getting back on track is simple. Below are the ways you can resolve a missed payment and ensure your Flex membership stays active.
Ways to pay a missed membership fee
- Wait for Flex to retry the payment automatically
Flex will automatically attempt to process your missed membership fee again. If the payment continues to fail after several attempts, we may notify you in the app to take action, such as updating your payment method or submitting the payment manually.
- Pay the membership fee manually in the Flex app
You can make the payment yourself at any time by following these steps:
- Open the Flex app
- Look for the yellow banner at the top of the home screen
- Tap “Make payment”
- Follow the prompts to submit your payment
Once the payment is successful, you’ll see a “Payment success” confirmation in the app.
Membership fee requirements
To use Flex for the upcoming month, your membership fee from the previous month must be paid by the end of the new rent cycle.
Each new rent cycle typically closes at 5pm ET on the 5th, but your deadline may vary. Please check the Flex app for your specific rent cycle end date and time.
Example: If your membership fee for February hasn’t been paid by the time your March rent cycle closes, you won’t be able to use Flex to pay March rent. Once you pay the outstanding February membership fee, your access will be restored (as long as there are no other issues with your account).
If you enter a new rent cycle with an unpaid membership fee, you’ll see a message on your home screen that looks like this:
To resolve it, simply pay the outstanding membership fee.
