Looking for an article with a different name? We've recently updated the names of some of our processes and updated our Help Center articles to make them easier to understand. If you followed a link from a Flex email and the article title looks different than expected, you're still in the right place! |
Why am I being asked to complete a review?
When you apply for Flex Rent, we review your application to confirm eligibility.
In some cases, we may need additional information before we can complete that review. If this happens, you’ll be asked to verify your financial information.
This verification helps us better understand your financial profile and determine whether Flex Rent is the right fit for you.
How do I verify my information?
If a review is needed, you’ll see a prompt in the Flex app and receive an email. You’ll need to verify your information before we can finish reviewing your application.
To verify your information, you’ll:
- Securely connect your personal bank account(s) through our trusted third-party provider, Plaid. For the best experience, use the account where most of your financial activity takes place
- Submit your information for review
We’ll review your recent transaction history and financial profile as part of this process.
Please note: Once your information is submitted, it can’t be edited or changed.
If you need help connecting your bank account, you can learn more in our Bank account linking guidelines article.
How long do I have to verify my information?
You’ll have 30 days to complete your review from the date it’s requested.
If the required information is not submitted within that timeframe, your application will expire and won’t move forward.
What happens after I verify my information?
After you submit your information, Flex will review it and provide a decision within three business days.
You’ll receive updates in your Flex app and by email.
Once the review is complete:
- If eligibility requirements are met, you’ll be able to start using Flex Rent
- If eligibility requirements aren’t met, you may need to wait before submitting a new application
Important: Do not restart your application
While your application is under review, don’t restart the sign-up process in the app.
Restarting the process will cancel your current application and remove your submitted financial information.
