Once you make your 1st payment to Flex in the Flex app, your virtual debit card is unlocked. From there, you'll use it to submit your payment directly to your service provider each billing cycle.
Follow the steps below each billing cycle.
1. Confirm your payment details
Before submitting your payment, make sure you review:
- Your bill amount
- Your payment schedule
Always confirm the amount directly with your service provider.
For a detailed breakdown, check out How to update your bill amount
2. Start your payment in the Flex app
When you're ready to pay your bill:
- Open the Flex app and tap Pay Now.
- Review your pre-filled estimated bill amount. If your bill amount has changed, you can update it here before continuing.
- Review your payment schedule and confirm the details look correct.
- Tap Continue to complete your 1st payment to Flex.
Once your 1st payment is successfully processed, a Flex provided virtual debit card will be unlocked in the app with a spending limit based on your confirmed bill amount.
Your virtual debit card is active for 24 hours. Make sure you use it to pay your bill within that window — if it expires unused, your card will be deactivated and your 1st payment will be automatically refunded.
3. Use your virtual debit card to pay your bill
Once your virtual debit card is unlocked:
- Open the Flex app to find your virtual debit card details.
- Log in to your service provider's website.
- Use the Flex provided virtual debit card details to pay your bill in full directly to your service provider.
Your virtual debit card can only be used at your approved service provider. Attempting to use it elsewhere will result in a declined transaction.
4. Your 2nd payment is automatically charged
Once your bill payment has been successfully submitted, your 2nd payment to Flex will be automatically collected on the date you selected during sign-up.
Your 2nd payment must fall within 30 days of your bill due date.
You can view your upcoming payment schedule anytime in the Flex app.
