What is income verification?
Income verification is when Flex reviews your income and financial information to confirm it meets our requirements. To do this, you’ll securely connect your bank account so Flex can review your information.
Why Flex may request income verification
Flex may ask for income verification in certain situations.
This may happen:
- During sign-up, if your application requires additional review to determine eligibility
- If your account needs additional review to continue using Flex
For more details about each situation, see:
How does income verification work?
If you’re asked to complete income verification, you’ll see a prompt in the Flex app and receive an email notification.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Enter your annual income
- Securely connect your bank account through a trusted third-party provider (Plaid)
- Submit your information
After you submit, Flex will review your recent deposit history. You can learn more about connecting your bank account here.
What happens after I submit my income?
After you submit:
- You’ll see a status update in the Flex app
- You’ll receive an email confirmation
Some decisions are instant. In other cases, review may take up to five business days.
Once reviewed:
- If approved, you can begin or continue using Flex
- If additional review is needed, you may see a message in the app while we process your information
- If you don’t meet eligibility requirements or don’t complete the process by the deadline (if one applies), you may not be able to use Flex
