If you paid your move-in costs through Flex—either by paying in full or by completing a pay over time plan—you may be able to sign up for Flex Rent, based on eligibility. Flex Rent makes rent payments more manageable by letting you split your rent into smaller payments with a credit line, while also helping you build credit history.
Flex Rent is a separate product from Flex Move-in and requires its own eligibility review. To learn more about Flex Rent, check out What is Flex Rent?
How Flex Move-in and Flex Rent work together
Flex Move-in and Flex Rent support different parts of the rental journey:
- Flex Move-in helps cover your upfront move-in costs
- Flex Rent helps split your monthly rent into two smaller payments
You can’t use both at the same time. If you paid over time with Move-in, Flex Rent becomes an option only after your Move-in plan is fully paid off.
When can I apply for Flex Rent if I paid over time?
You can apply for Flex Rent after your Move-in pay over time plan is fully paid off.
Once eligible, you’ll see a prompt to apply for Flex Rent in the Flex app.
What if I paid my move-in costs in full?
If you paid your move-in costs in full, you can apply for Flex Rent at any time, based on eligibility.
Eligibility for Flex Rent
Flex Rent requires a separate eligibility review. Approval depends on factors such as:
- Credit history
- Account and payment history
- Identity verification
- A soft credit check
Paying off a Move-in plan does not guarantee approval for Flex Rent. For more details, see How to qualify for Flex Rent.
