You can easily track your rent payment status right from the Flex app. Updates will appear on your Home screen as your rent moves through each step of the process.
If you live at an integrated property, most steps—sometimes all of them, if Autopay is ON—will happen automatically. If you're at a non-integrated property, you’ll need to manually complete each step yourself.
No matter which type of property you’re at, Flex will always show you what’s next—whether it’s something we’ll handle for you or something you need to do. Just open the app and check the Home screen for real-time updates.
Examples of Rent Status Updates (Autopay ON)
Pro Tip: Look for a green check ✅ next to payments that have been completed, and a purple calendar icon 📅 next to payments that are scheduled—along with the specific date they'll be processed.
Additional Rent Status Updates You Might See (Autopay OFF)
If Autopay is OFF, you’ll see an extra update letting you know when it’s time to make your 1st payment.
- Once your rent bill is available, you’ll see an hourglass icon ⏳ indicating that your 1st payment needs to be made manually.
- Your 1st payment must be submitted by 3pm ET on the 5th to stay on track.
- Flex will continue updating your status in real-time on the Home screen, showing what steps still need to be completed.
Service issues Notification
If there’s a service issue that prevents your rent from being processed, Flex will alert you directly at the top of the Home screen of the app until the issue is resolved.
These alerts will tell you exactly what action is needed—whether it's something you need to do or something your property manager or Flex needs to fix.
Want to See What Makes Up Your Rent Bill?
Some customers who live at integrated properties can also view their rent bill directly in the Flex app. This feature provides a detailed breakdown of the charges posted by your property, such as your rent, utility fees, or other property-related charges.
Please note: This feature may not be available to all customers , as availability can vary by account.
How to view your rent bill in the Flex mobile app:
- Click the arrow next to the right your rent amount on the Home screen.
- Under your Rent amount, the Details section will provide a breakdown of your rent bill.
If you have questions about specific charges, it’s best to contact your property manager directly to review your ledger or clarify your rent bill. Flex doesn’t control what’s included in your bill—we simply pull in a copy of what we see through our integration with your property.
