Instead of searching for each bill one by one, eligible customers can connect a bank account through Plaid and Flex will automatically look for bills you might be able to add.
How it works
- Go to the Bills tab and tap Add a Bill.
- Tap Connect bank account.
- Select your bank and log in to link your account.
- Flex will look through your recent transaction history to find bills you may be eligible to add through Flex.
- Once we're done, you'll see a list of eligible bills we found.
- Tap a bill to review the details and continue through the same steps as adding a bill manually — you'll confirm the biller, choose your payment plan, and set your schedule just like any other bill.
What happens to bills I don't set up right away?
Any detected bills you don't set up stay saved and available in your Bills tab — you can come back and set them up anytime.
Can I connect more than one bank account?
Yes. You can connect multiple bank accounts, and Flex will combine the eligible bills found across all of them.
What if Flex doesn't find any eligible bills?
If we don't find any eligible bills, or if it's taking longer than expected, you'll see an option to add your bills manually instead — just go to the Bills tab → Add a Bill and search for your biller.
What if Flex detects a bill I don't actually pay?
Detected bills are never added automatically — you choose which ones to set up. If you don't want to set it up, you can simply leave it as is; it won't affect your account or any bills you've already added.
Disconnecting your bank account
To disconnect a bank account you've connected:
- Go to Settings > Connected Banks.
- Select the account you want to disconnect.
- Tap Remove connection.
- Tap Remove to confirm.
Note: bills you've already set up and connected won't be affected if you disconnect the bank account used to find them.
