Flex lets eligible customers split everyday bills — like utilities, phone, auto loans, and more — into two payments.
- If you use Flex for rent, you may be eligible to add bills to your account.
- If you already have a bill through Flex, you may be eligible to add another one.
Eligible customers will see an Add a Bill option in the Bills tab of the Flex app.
Before you start
You may not be able to add a bill if:
- You don't see an Add a Bill option in the Bills tab
- You have an outstanding balance on an existing bill
- You've reached the limit for that bill category (see limits below)
If you're not seeing the option, check that your account is in good standing and that you haven't reached a category limit.
What bills can I add?
You can add utilities, phone, internet, auto loans, child care, and more. Limits apply per category:
| Bill type | Max |
| Utility | 2 |
| Telecom | 2 |
| Auto loan | 1 |
| Child care | 1 |
| Mortgage | 1 |
*Mortgage bills are not available if you use Flex for rent.
How to add a bill
- Open the Flex app and go to the Bills tab
- Tap Add a Bill
- Search for your service provider by name or category
- Follow the on-screen steps to connect your account — depending on your provider, you may be asked to log in to your provider account or enter your account details manually
- Enter or confirm your bill amount
- Select your payment date (within 30 days of your bill's due date)
- Review your fees and payment schedule
- Confirm to complete setup
Once setup is complete, your bill will appear in your Bills tab alongside any other bills you've added.
What to expect
- Flex will run a soft credit check as part of the setup process. This won't affect your credit score.
- Your fees are shown before you confirm — review them carefully before completing setup.
What if my provider isn't available?
Not all providers are available through Add a Bill. If your provider doesn't appear in the search results, you can submit a request form and if we add the provider in the future, we will let you know!
