If you have questions about your move-in costs, here’s what you need to know about how payments work and what to do next.
How move-in payments work
When you pay with Flex Move-in, you authorize Flex to send your total move-in costs (deposits, prorated rent, fees, etc.) to your property. You may:
- Pay in full with a debit card, or
- Pay over time in 3 or 6 monthly payments (if eligible)
Best practices before submitting your move-in costs
- Confirm all fees with your property before paying.
- Use a U.S.-based debit card for payment.
- Double-check every amount before submitting.
Common reasons for incorrect payments
- You entered the wrong amount manually.
- Your property charged a different amount than expected.
- The fees shown in Flex don’t match what your property told you.
What to do next
If you entered the wrong amount:
Flex cannot revise or refund the payment after it’s sent.
➡️ Contact your property to fix the difference.
If your property updated the charges after you paid:
Flex can’t update payments once they’re sent.
➡️ Contact your property to reconcile the amount.
If you disagree with the amount sent:
Flex only sends what your property provides or what you entered.
➡️ Speak with your property to review the charges.
