Note: This article applies to customers who pay their bill using a Flex provided bank account or a Flex provided debit card. If Flex handles your bill directly, your bill amount is pulled automatically from your service provider and cannot be updated manually.
If your bill amount changes, you must update your estimated bill amount in the Flex app before submitting your payment.
Always confirm the correct amount due with your service provider before making changes.
How to update your estimated bill amount:
- Open the Flex app.
- Go to the Bills tab and select your bill
- Edit Estimated bill.
- Enter your new estimated bill amount rounded to the nearest dollar.
- Tap Save.
You can also update your estimated bill amount when you submit your payment to Flex:
- Tap Pay with Flex
- Review & update the estimated bill amount
- Tap Confirm
- Tap Continue to bill payment
Important: Updating your estimated bill amount in Flex does not submit your payment. You are responsible for manually submitting your bill payment to your provider each billing cycle.
If the amount you submit to your service provider does not match the amount entered in Flex, your 1st and 2nd payments to Flex may be adjusted, or the payment submitted to your provider may be canceled.
If you’re using a Flex debit card and your service provider charge is higher than your card's spending limit, your payment may be declined. Learn more about why your bill payment attempt may be declined.
