Your property offers Move-in
When your property offers Flex Move-in, you’ll receive a personalized link either from your property manager or by email from Flex—inviting you to use Flex for your move-in costs. This link takes you to a secure, web-based sign-up flow where you’ll connect your property and check your eligibility for the payment options available.
During sign-up, you’ll be asked for basic information like your name, address, and phone number. If you want to use a monthly payment plan, you’ll also need to enter your date of birth and Social Security Number (SSN).
Why Move-in asks for your SSN
• Pay in full: SSN is not required.
• Pay over time: SSN is needed so Flex can verify your identity and check eligibility through a soft credit check for splitting your move-in costs.
How your SSN is used
- Identity verification – To make sure it’s really you and help keep your account secure.
- Credit-related checks (for pay over time) – Flex runs a soft credit check using your SSN to see if you qualify for a 3- or 6-month plan. Soft checks do not affect your credit score.
- Compliance and accuracy – Your SSN helps Flex meet federal requirements and ensure your funds go to the correct property and account.
How your information is protected
Your SSN is stored securely and used only for these purposes. Flex follows strict security standards and never shares your information without your consent. Flex is not a bank. All banking and payments are handled by Lead Bank or Column N.A., Member FDIC, Flex’s trusted banking partner.
Sometimes you may see an error during sign-up. This can happen if your property hasn’t added you as a future resident yet or if some of your details don’t match. Double-check your information and try again. If the issue continues, contact Flex Support for help.
Flex Move-in currently supports debit cards only. Credit cards, prepaid cards, and bank transfers aren’t accepted at this time.
Your property doesn’t offer Move-in yet
