If your rent portal doesn’t accept the Flex bank account, you may be able to switch to a Flex debit card instead—directly in the Flex app.
How to switch
- Open the Flex app and go to the Home screen.
- Tap the ❓ icon next to your current Flex payment method (the bank account).
- On the next screen, choose “Switch to Flex debit card.”
- Confirm the switch. Once confirmed, the Flex debit card will appear on your home screen, but the full card details (number, expiration date, and CVC) will only unlock after you make your 1st payment.
If you’ve already submitted rent using your Flex bank account, it’s important not to switch to a debit card. Doing so could cancel the rent payment you already made. Instead, wait until the payment settles and your 1st payment is complete before making any changes.
Things to keep in mind
- Some rent portals may charge additional fees for debit card payments—check your portal’s terms before switching.
- Not all customers are eligible to switch payment methods. If you don’t see the option in your app, your account may not qualify.
