If you live at a non-integrated property, you’ll need to manually submit your rent each month using the Flex bank account or debit card shown in your Flex app.
To do that, you first need to add your Flex payment method to your rent portal so it appears as an option when you pay rent on your property’s website.
- Depending on your account, Flex gives you either a unique bank account or a Flex debit card.
- If you’re adding a bank account, your rent portal may also ask you to complete bank verification before you can use it.
Once your payment method is added (and verified, if required), you can use it to submit rent each month.
Adding a Flex bank account or debit card to your rent portal is simple! Just follow these steps to quickly add it and pay your rent:
Step 1: Find the Flex bank account or debit card payment method
- Open the Flex app to view your unique payment method (bank account or debit card).
Step 2: Add the payment method in your property’s rent portal
- Log in to your property’s rent portal (the website where you usually pay rent).
- Look for the option to “add a new payment method.”
- Enter the bank account or debit card details from the Flex app, making sure the numbers are correct.
- If your portal asks for additional details (like bank name, account type, or billing address), click “Need help > More account details” in the app to find that information.

Step 3: Submit rent
- Once you’ve added the Flex bank account or payment method, use it to pay your rent.
- Double-check the rent amount before you submit it, because Flex will charge exactly what you pay.
- If you have roommates, make sure to only pay your part of the rent.
- The Flex bank account or debit card can only be used for rent payments—no other transactions are allowed.
