If you've already made your 1st payment for the month and were given a Flex bank account or debit card to submit your rent, but decide not to use it, you can cancel the process and get a refund of your 1st payment.
Who Can Initiate a Refund in the App?
You can request a refund in the app only if Flex gave you a Flex bank account or debit card to pay rent manually and you haven’t used it to submit your rent yet.
If Flex automatically pays your rent, this refund option won’t be available.
Need help? If you think you should get a refund but don’t see the option, go to Settings > Contact Us in the Flex app to reach support.
Here’s What Happens When You Choose Not to Use Flex
- Flex will refund your 1st payment.
- You’ll need to pay your rent directly to your property for the current month.
Steps to Request A Refund
- Open the Flex app and navigate to the screen where your Flex bank account or debit card is shown.
- Tap the ‘Having issues? See other options’ button.
- Select ‘Don’t use Flex this month’.
- Your 1st payment will be refunded within 3-5 business days.
