Sometimes, Flex might have trouble submitting your rent automatically due to technical issues. When this happens, we’ll send you an email or push notification asking you to submit the rent manually using a Flex bank account or debit card.
You’ll be able to find the bank account or debit card details in your app. From there, simply use it to pay your rent through your property’s rent portal.
You’ll still be able to split your rent into two payments, just like before. The only change is that instead of Flex submitting your rent automatically, you’ll need to take the step of submitting it for us!
How Do I Find the Flex Bank Account or Debit Card?
It’s easy and just takes two taps! Follow these quick steps:
- From your app’s home screen (the “Rent” tab), tap "Submit rent"
- On the next screen, tap "Continue."
- You’ll then be taken to a screen that displays the Flex bank account or debit card.
Once you can view the bank account or debit card, add it to your rent portal as a new payment option, and simply pay your rent with it. Be sure to submit rent before 8pm EST on the 5th of the month to ensure it’s processed successfully. Any payments made after this time may be rejected.
