Flex is updating the bank behind some Flex accounts from Lead Bank to Column N.A., Member FDIC for some customers. If you've been notified, here's what you need to know and do.
Step 1: Accept the update in the Flex app
- Open the Flex app. You’ll see a screen titled “We’re updating your banking partner.”
- Review the linked terms on screen, then tap Accept new terms.
- This screen cannot be dismissed. If you don't confirm by June 1, 2026, your access to Flex may be interrupted.
Step 2: Update your payment method with your property
This step is for customers who log into their property’s rent portal each month and pay rent using a Flex-provided bank account or debit card. If that’s not how you pay rent, you’re all set after Step 1.
If this applies to you, you’ll see a second screen after accepting the page titled “Action required.” Your previous Flex payment method is no longer active — you’ll need to add your new one to your property’s rent portal before your next payment date. If you skip this step and use the old Flex payment method, the rent payment you make with it will fail.
Here’s what to do:
- Find your new Flex provided payment method on your Flex app home screen
- Log into your property’s rent portal
- Add your new Flex payment method
- Complete this before rent is due — do not wait
- For step-by-step instructions on updating your rent portal, see: How to add your Flex bank account or debit card to your rent portal
