What Causes the "Overdue Rent" Service Issue?
The "Overdue Rent" service issue occurs if you have unpaid rent charges from previous months on your rent bill. Flex cannot submit your rent for the current month until you pay off the past due balance directly to your property. For example, if your November rent bill includes charges from October that were left unpaid, Flex will be unable to submit your November rent until those October charges are cleared.
In such cases, Flex will notify you that the overdue balance must be settled before we can proceed with the rent process.
How Do I Resolve the "Overdue Rent" Service Issue?
To resolve this issue, take these steps:
- Check for Overdue Rent: Log into your property’s rent portal (your property’s payment website) and review your rent bill or ledger. If you see any unpaid charges from previous months, pay them directly to your property.
- Automatic Checks by Flex: Flex will perform daily checks to see if the overdue rent has been paid. Once it’s cleared, Flex will automatically continue the rent process.
Important Note: Be sure to settle any overdue balance with your property by 3pm ET on the 5th of the month, which is Flex’s rent cycle cutoff. If the overdue balance isn’t cleared by this time, Flex may be unable to pay your rent for that month.
