Why You’re Seeing the “Confirm Rent Amount” Service Issue
This service issue appears when the rent bill amount we receive from your property is noticeably higher or lower than the monthly rent estimate you provide when you sign up or through your app’s Rent and Payments settings.
Before Flex can submit your rent, we need to confirm the amount is accurate—so we don’t underpay or overpay your property.
When this happens, you’ll receive a notification via email, text, or push, asking you to confirm the correct amount in the app.
How to Resolve It
You can confirm your rent amount directly in the Flex app. Here’s how:
- Open the Flex app and go to the Home screen
- Tap Confirm Rent Amount in the yellow service issue banner
- You’ll see a prompt to either confirm the rent or update it
- Type in the amount you want Flex to submit, then tap Confirm
You can also update your rent anytime by going to Settings > Rent and Payments in the app.
What Amount Should I Enter?
Make sure you enter the exact amount you want Flex to submit to your property.
- If your rent bill is $1,000 and you want Flex to submit the full amount, enter $1,000
- If you split rent with roommates and only want Flex to pay your portion, enter just your share (Note: Some properties do not allow partial payments, so this option may not be available for you.)
This is the amount Flex will attempt to pay, so please review it carefully before confirming.
