Flex pays your rent as soon as your rent bill is posted, typically between the last day of the prior month and the first 5 days of the current month. To ensure a successful rent payment, it is crucial to have funds available in your linked card by 3pm ET on the 5th of the month. For instance, the last day Flex can pay your March rent is March 5th, the last day Flex can pay your April rent is on April 5th, etc.
During this payment window, we will attempt your 1st payment up to six times until successful or until the 3pm ET cut-off on the 5th. After six attempts, automatic retries stop, and you must manually complete the payment in the Flex app by the rent payment cutoff at 3pm ET on the 5th. If the funds for that payment are available by 3pm ET on the 5th, we will proceed to make your rent payment in full directly to your property. This entire process is automated, which means you usually don't need to make any manual payments.
However, if we are unable to process your 1st payment by 3pm ET on the 5th day of each calendar month, you won't be able to access Flex to pay your rent for that particular month. To avoid any disruption, make sure to have sufficient funds in your linked card during the specified time frame. This way, you can rely on Flex to take care of your rent payments smoothly and hassle-free.
