Overview of Flexible Rent
Flexible Rent allows customers to split their rent into two smaller, easier payments. How Flex handles your rent depends on your property:
- Integrated properties: Flex can automatically submit your rent.
- Not integrated properties: You’ll need to handle some steps yourself, like entering your rent amount and submitting rent in your property’s portal.
Integrated vs. Not Integrated Properties
What is an Integrated Property?
An integrated property is one where Flex is connected to your property or its rent portal. This means Flex can automatically get your rent bill and pay it for you. Each month, once Flex receives your rent bill, it typically takes care of everything, including charging your 1st payment and submitting rent to your property. In some cases, if a service issue arises, you may need to step in and do something like enter your rent amount or submit rent.
What is a Property that is Not Integrated?
A property that is not integrated is one where Flex isn’t directly connected to your property or its rent portal. This means Flex can’t automatically view your rent bill or submit rent for you. However, you still get to split your rent into two payments. The main difference is that you’ll need to manually complete a few steps, like entering your rent amount, making your 1st payment, and submitting rent to your property instead of those steps happening automatically.
How to Know if Your Property is Integrated or Not
Your Property is Integrated if:
- You were able to find and connect to your property during sign-up.
- This means you either entered your rent portal login (username and password) or found your exact property and unit number when signing up.
Your Property is Not Integrated if:
- You didn’t directly connect to your property during sign-up. You may have added your address and stored it, but didn’t connect via your rent portal or find your exact property and unit number.
- You also would have clicked the “I don’t see my property” link in the sign-up flow.
