Flex can help you build your credit history while paying rent. As a Flex customer, here are the ways you can benefit:
Rent Reporting:
- An optional feature included in your Flexible Rent membership.
- With Rent Reporting, Flex reports your on-time rent payments to TransUnion and helps you build credit history while paying rent.
- Flex will never report anything but on-time payments to TransUnion.

Credit Builder:
- Credit Builder is a great option for those looking to improve their credit.
- On average it can help improve your credit score by 45 points in 3 months*.

*Individual results vary. Average outcome for customers who opened a Credit Builder account with a starting VantageScore 3.0 with a credit score between 580–620 and made consistent, on-time payments for at least three months. Factors other than on time payments, including interactions with other creditors, also play a role and may impact results. Payment history will be reported to TransUnion. Past performance does not guarantee future results, and a credit score increase is not guaranteed.
How Flex Reports to Bureaus:
- Flex currently reports to TransUnion and may report to other major credit bureaus in the future.
- How to find Flex in your credit report:
- Rent Reporting: Look for the “Flexible Finance” account under the subscriber “Flex”.
- Credit Builder: Look for the “Lead/Flex Credit Builder” account under the subscriber “Flex/Lead”.
Note: In July 2024, we updated our credit reporting policy to better support your long-term credit improvement. Previously, the Flexible Rent product reported all payment history, both good and bad. Now, the Flexible Rent product only reports your on-time rent payments made through Flex if the Rent Reporting feature is turned on. This can positively impact your credit history. As a result of this policy update, you may see the account labeled “Flex on behalf of BRB” disappear from your credit report.
