What is it?
Rent autopay is a feature that allows our customers the flexibility to decide if they want Flex to submit a payment automatically to their property each month or if they would like to manually complete this through Flex.
You can turn autopay off in your application by navigating to Settings > Rent Autopay and then toggling the “Rent autopay” button from on to off as shown below.
When “Rent autopay” is toggled off, Flex will not automatically pay your rent each month and you will be responsible for processing your 1st payment manually in the app.
How Does It Work?
- Once your bill has been posted from your property and you are ready to pay your rent, you will navigate to the Flex app.
- From your “Rent” screen in the app you will see a button that says “Split your rent” which you can click to go through the manual rent payment process. [This option is not currently available to all members].
- Once you have clicked the button, your 1st payment will be processed and rent payment will be submitted.
You can turn autopay on or off at any time in the app. However, if you see the option to “Split your rent” in the app, this does mean the bill payment process has started and you will have to click the button to manually submit a payment to your property through Flex.
Please note, if you toggle the “Rent autopay” option on after you see the “Split your rent” button (indicating the manual process has started), rent autopay will be in effect for the next month.
Your membership fee still applies and will continue to be charged on the 15th of each month. Your Flex credit line will remain open, giving you access to flex your rent as needed but with the added flexibility of initiating rent payment when you are ready (up until the 5th each month).
