Most residents prefer to turn off rent autopay instead of canceling their membership. Turning off rent autopay stops Flex from paying their rent bills until they indicate that they’d like to turn it back on.
Turn off rent autopay:
- If a resident does not wish to use Flex to pay their rent payment in a specific month, they may turn off autopay by navigating to Settings > Rent autopay > Turn off rent autopay.
- This option allows residents to turn off rent autopay and keep their Flex line of credit from Blue Ridge Bank, N.A., or Lead Bank open and reported as open to TransUnion.
- Rent autopay must be turned off at least 2 days before the end of the month to ensure that a new rent payment is not processed.
Please note, while rent autopay is off accounts will continue to be charged the monthly membership fee on the 15th of each month.
Cancel membership:
- Residents can cancel their Flex membership by going to Settings > Account > Membership > Cancel membership within the Flex app.
- When a membership is canceled, we will close the Blue Ridge Bank, N.A., or Lead Bank Flex Line of Credit account and report it as closed to TransUnion.
- If a resident proceeds to cancel their membership with an outstanding balance remaining, that balance will be transferred to collections which may impact their credit score unless timely payments are made.
- Residents must cancel their Flex membership no fewer than 2 calendar days prior to the end of the month or they will be charged the monthly membership fee on the 15th of the following month, regardless of whether they use Flex to pay their rent for the month.
