How to turn on rent autopay
To turn on rent autopay, or resume Flex's service, simply update your rent autopay settings in the Flex app. To do so:
- Open the Flex app.
- Go to Settings > Rent autopay.
- Toggle on rent autopay.
Once rent autopay is successfully enabled, the app will show you a success message and send you an email confirmation as well. If the attempt to turn on rent autopay is unsuccessful, you’ll receive an email containing a letter of adverse action explaining why.

When to turn on rent autopay
To ensure service is resumed for the upcoming or current rent cycle, you should successfully turn it on by 5 pm ET on the 3rd of the month. We make every effort to accommodate all users who do so on the 3rd, but there may be situations where it's too late to be included if the request is submitted after 5 pm ET.
For example, if you intend to use Flex for the February rent cycle, make sure to submit your request by 5 pm ET on February 3rd to use Flex for February rent. If the request is submitted after 5 pm ET on February 3rd, your Flex membership will start in the March rent cycle if approved.
