How to turn on rent autopay
To turn on rent autopay, or resume Flex's service, simply update your rent autopay settings in the Flex app. To do so:
- Open the Flex app.
- Go to Settings > Rent autopay.
- Toggle on rent autopay.
Once rent autopay is successfully enabled, the app will show you a success message and send you an email confirmation as well. If the attempt to turn on rent autopay is unsuccessful, you’ll receive an email containing a letter of adverse action explaining why.
When to turn on rent autopay
To ensure Flex automatically pays your rent for the upcoming or current rent cycle, turn on rent autopay by 5pm ET on the 4th of the month. We’ll make every effort to accommodate all users who do so on the 4th, but there may be situations where it's too late if the request is submitted after 5pm ET.
For example, to use Flex for the August rent cycle, submit your request by 5pm ET on August 4th. If submitted after 5pm ET, Flex will start autopay for the next rent cycle. Note: You can still use Flex with autopay turned off.
